In 2001 I graduated in Moscow at the University for the State Humanities of Russia in Literature and Languages, with a specialization in Philology and Italian / German Linguistics. I was born in Moscow in 1978, when the Soviet Union and the cold war still existed. For many years we have been confined from the rest of the world by means of the “iron curtain”. Following a historical instinct, my parents knew that sooner or later this regime would end. Still, they invested their savings in the studies of us children, especially in the English language. At 15 I already had my own small private class of pupils and taught English! The first translation and interpreting experiments were with the American delegations of the «Josh McDowell Ministry», who arrived in Moscow already during Perestroika. I was 16 years old.
During my University studies I participated as an interpreter in various commercial negotiations and cultural initiatives on behalf of the ICE (Institute for Foreign Trade) of Moscow within the international relations Russia-Italy, worked in various international fairs. As a student attended the meetings of the “Falcone Foundation” with the president Maria Falcone in Moscow in 1999, I accompanied a Russian delegation to Vatican in 2000 and 2001 at the invitation of Opus Dei.
Worked as a correspondent of the Italian magazine «Show case» for 10 years, taking care of my personal column «The Italians in Moscow» where I described the Russian-Italian cultural ties and offered interviews with Italian architects and designers.
I have always had a great passion for foreign languages and I have never stopped studying them and deepening my knowledge.
The experience of working in various sectors of commerce has allowed me to learn a specific technical, economic and financial terminology, suitable for each sector of expertise. Before facing professional commitment, I do several researches, documenting myself on the appropriate terminology and preparing specific glossaries.
